Harry Potter fans celebrate in London ahead of new series

Fans of the Harry Potter franchise gathered in London on September 1 to celebrate the “Back to Hogwarts” event. To manage crowds at King’s Cross Station, HBO Max hosted an interactive experience at the Old Billingsgate market along the River Thames. The event featured activities such as riding the Hogwarts Express, sending owl mail, and wearing house uniforms, serving as a celebration of the franchise’s 25-year history and anticipation for an upcoming series.

In conjunction with the celebrations, Warner Bros. Games launched a franchise sale on Steam. The video game Hogwarts Legacy is being offered at a 90 percent discount, and players can claim a free “Astronomer’s Hat” cosmetic DLC through September 30. Other titles in the franchise, including Lego Harry Potter and Quidditch Champions, are also included in the sale.
