Harry Potter films return to cinemas for 25th anniversary

The Harry Potter film franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary with worldwide theatrical re-releases. The original 2001 film, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, is returning to cinemas in various regions, including Spain, France, Bolivia, and the UAE.

Many of these re-releases feature special additions, such as 12 to 15 minutes of previously unreleased footage. In some locations, such as Vietnam, the film has already seen significant box office success, reaching the top spot shortly after its return.

In addition to film screenings, the anniversary is being marked by themed commercial activities. For example, Gong cha Mexico is offering limited-edition beverages and merchandise inspired by the Hogwarts houses. Various cinemas in France and the UAE are also organizing marathons to screen the entire eight-film saga.
