Harry Winks nears return to Cagliari ahead of Lazio match

Cagliari midfielder Harry Winks is expected to return to action for the upcoming match against Lazio following a recent injury. The English midfielder had been sidelined due to lower back pain, which forced him to leave the pitch during a match against Bologna and caused him to miss the subsequent fixture against Roma.

Winks has resumed group training sessions, though the medical staff is proceeding with caution to prevent any recurrence of the injury. His availability for the match at the Stadio Olimpico depends on his physical response to training loads in the coming days.

Under manager Fabio Pisacane, Winks has become a central figure in the team's tactical setup. He is noted for his ability to dictate the tempo of play, manage possession, and connect the defensive and midfield lines. If fully recovered, he is considered a primary candidate to start in the midfield.
