Haryana and Uttar Pradesh Transfer Hundreds of Police and Civil Service Officers

The Haryana government reshuffled its police leadership, moving 23 officers – nine Indian Police Service (IPS) and 14 Haryana Police Service (HPS) members – to new postings. Senior IPS officer Arshinder Singh Chawla was given additional charge as Director General of Prisons, while Kala Ramachandran took on the directorship of the Madhuban Forensic Science Laboratory. Pankaj Nain received the extra role of Police Commissioner for Panchkula, and other officers such as Srishti Gupta and Aditi Singh were reassigned to different divisions. Fourteen HPS officers were also posted to various districts across the state.

In Uttar Pradesh, the administration transferred 182 Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officers in a large-scale reshuffle. The moves affected numerous Sub‑Divisional Magistrates, including Pushparnath Chaudhary to Unnao, Lovleet Kaur to an OSD role in the Greater Noida Authority, and several others reassigned to districts such as Bareilly, Kanpur Dehat, Bulandshahr, Ambedkar Nagar, Baghpat, Firozabad, Rae Bareli and Barabanki. The transfers aim to streamline district‑level governance and improve administrative efficiency.
