Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini urges Punjab to tackle crime and drug abuse

Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini addressed a gathering at Shri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, calling on the state to regain its lost honour and become a leading example of development, good governance and national interest. He paid tribute to Sikh gurus, then criticised the previous Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) governments, accusing them of corruption, broken promises and allowing a surge in drug trafficking, gang violence, illegal mining, financial mismanagement and deteriorating law‑and‑order.

Saini highlighted the growing drug crisis as a major threat to families and youth, noting that many young people are forced to seek illegal routes abroad for employment. He contrasted Haryana’s welfare measures – such as the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi scheme that provides ₹2,100 a month to women in poor families – with Punjab’s unmet promises, like the pledged ₹1,100 monthly allowance for women. He praised the central BJP government’s “all‑for‑one” agenda and urged Punjabis to make decisions that ensure prosperity, security and the state’s future.
