Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Meets World Bank to Boost AI and Digital Governance

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met a World Bank delegation to discuss expanding artificial‑intelligence, digital governance and skill‑development programmes in the state. The officials highlighted the AI Sandbox created jointly by the World Bank and Haryana, which will be presented at the Korea Digital Summit in Seoul from 19‑22 October, and invited the chief minister to attend.

Saini emphasized that technology must serve citizens, citing the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) scheme and plans for a modernised PPP 2.0, a comprehensive Data Exchange Policy and a state‑wide Data Lake to improve transparency and decision‑making. He also urged the World Bank to accelerate the Haryana AI and Development Project, including an AI Gurukul to train youth for future industry needs.
