Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini attacks Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann at Dhuri rally

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed a crowd in Dhuri, the assembly constituency of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and criticised the Punjab government. Saini said, "Jokes can run cinema halls, but they cannot run governments," accusing Mann of focusing on publicity rather than action and claiming the state’s war on drugs is fought only through newspaper ads.

He contrasted Haryana’s policies, highlighting full procurement of farmers’ crops at Minimum Support Price and a Rs 16,500 crore assistance package after last year’s floods. Saini urged voters to give the BJP a chance in the upcoming Punjab elections, suggesting it could deliver development and good governance. Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann later called Saini’s visit a “flop show” and warned that Punjab’s people would not support the BJP.

The exchanges reflect escalating political rivalry between the two neighboring states ahead of Punjab’s next assembly election.
