Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini lauds Modi's Punjab plan and PM‑Kisan farmer payouts

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to strengthening Punjab, arguing that a "double‑engine" government could accelerate development. He criticised the current Punjab administration for unmet promises, highlighted Haryana’s welfare schemes—including higher cash transfers to women and senior citizens—and urged Punjab voters to back the BJP in the upcoming assembly election, promising minimum support price procurement and industry‑friendly policies.

Saini also praised the digital delivery of the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM‑Kisan) scheme, noting that Haryana received ₹319.13 crore for over 1.59 million farmers, part of a nationwide transfer of more than ₹11,880 crore to 9.4 crore farmers. He linked the seamless payouts to Modi’s push for a digital India and described it as a step toward a "Viksit Bharat".
