Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini predicts BJP will win Punjab Assembly elections

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to win the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He asserted that the welfare‑oriented schemes being rolled out by the “double‑engine” BJP government in Haryana are widely discussed in Punjab and that the current state government has left voters “fending for themselves”. Saini added that Punjab voters want development and highlighted the party’s welfare policies as a model. He also addressed logistical issues for NEET re‑examination candidates, announcing free bus services, and defended the state’s law‑and‑order record, contrasting it with the previous Congress administration. The remarks were made while interacting with media after chairing a district public‑relations and grievances redressal committee meeting in Sirsa.
