Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Urges Punjab to Reclaim Glory and Tackle Drug Crisis

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed a gathering at Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, calling the state to reclaim its lost glory and become the leading state in India through development, good governance and a focus on national interest. He paid homage to Guru Nanak and other Sikh gurus and highlighted the cultural and linguistic ties between Haryana and Punjab.

Saini criticised the Congress for corruption and dynastic politics and accused the AAP government of failing to deliver promises such as a ₹1,100 monthly payment to women, while noting that Haryana’s scheme provides ₹2,100 per month to women from poor families under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana. He highlighted the serious drug menace, rising crime, illegal mining, financial mismanagement and deteriorating law‑and‑order as major challenges, and warned that youth unemployment is driving many to seek illegal routes abroad.

The chief minister framed these issues as a crisis for Punjab’s future and urged the people to adopt development‑focused policies and stronger anti‑drug measures.
