Hasanuddin University students provide medical aid in Manggarai Timur

Students from Hasanuddin University’s Disaster Response KKN team have provided medical assistance to residents in Manggarai Timur, East Nusa Tenggara. The team, which includes student executive leaders from the Law and Dentistry faculties, conducted basic health services in Satar Punda Village.

During their mission, the team treated 60 residents, including providing wound care for 10 individuals injured by debris from a recent disaster. Common health issues identified included flu and coughs among children, while residents over 40 frequently presented with histories of untreated hypertension. Additionally, students engaged children in educational games at evacuation tents to provide psychosocial support.
