Havan boosts TV advertising and installs solar panels at Palmas megastore

Retail chain Havan, owned by businessman Luciano Hang, became the top advertiser on Globo's local affiliates in the first half of 2026, recording 2,132 ad insertions across regional newscasts and programs that reach consumers in Brazil's lower‑income classes. Hang says he criticises national Globo journalism but supports regional coverage.

In September 2024 the company also launched a solar‑energy project at its megastore in Palmas, Tocantins, installing 1,088 photovoltaic panels covering about 2,812 m². The system, rated at 598.4 kWp, is expected to generate roughly 866,000 kWh annually and supply the store’s own electricity under a grid‑zero configuration, reducing reliance on the public grid.
