HBO Max announces legal drama series ‘War’ starring Dominic West

HBO Max has released the first trailer for ‘War’, a new legal drama anthology series created by George Kay. The series is scheduled to premiere globally on October 1, 2026, with eight episodes released weekly.

Set in the competitive legal landscape of London, the first season focuses on a high-stakes conflict between two prestigious law firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne. The dispute arises when the firms represent opposing sides in the divorce of tech tycoon Morgan Henderson, played by Dominic West, and international film star Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller.

The production is a co-production involving New Pictures, Observatory Pictures, Sky, and HBO. As an anthology series, the show will feature different legal cases in subsequent seasons; the second season is expected to include Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald, and David Harewood.
