HD Hyundai Eco Vina breaks ground on $116 million plant in Quang Ngai

HD Hyundai Eco Vina has officially broken ground on a $116 million project to upgrade and expand its manufacturing facility in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai province. This expansion brings the company’s total investment in the facility to $451 million.

The new project covers approximately 26.7 hectares and focuses on constructing an eco-friendly independent tank manufacturing plant. The facility will produce specialized tanks for LNG, LPG, fuels, and chemicals, as well as equipment for clean energy transition projects and heavy industrial structures. The plant is intended to serve as a strategic production hub for the HD Hyundai Group’s global shipbuilding industry.

Construction is expected to take 12 months, with operations slated to begin by April 2027. The expansion is expected to maintain the current workforce of approximately 1,500 employees while creating an additional 1,500 local jobs through new recruitment and training initiatives.
