HDZ BiH marks 36th anniversary with emphasis on Croatian support
The Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) marked its 36th anniversary with a series of events, including a session of the party presidency and a meeting of the ‘Kraljica Katarina Kosača’ Women’s Community.
During the commemorations, party leader Dragan Čović emphasized the critical importance of support from the Republic of Croatia. He stated that without the political backing of the Croatian government and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the party and its constituents would be in a significantly worse position. Čović noted that Croatian officials actively advocate for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s adherence to the Dayton Peace Agreement and its path toward European Union and NATO membership.
Additionally, the Women’s Community held an awards ceremony in Mostar. Eight women, including prominent political figures such as Borjana Krišto and Željana Zovko, received honorary memberships for their long-term contributions to the political and social landscape of the region.
