Health and education initiatives launched for elderly populations
Various programs are being introduced to support healthy aging and lifelong learning for senior citizens. In Mersin, Clinicia Center hosted a Geriatric Rehabilitation Seminar focused on the biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging. The seminar featured medical experts discussing menopause-related health issues, nutritional needs for those over 65, and preventative measures to maintain wellness.
In Erzurum, the Health Sciences University Erzurum Faculty of Medicine is launching the ‘3rd Age University’ program. Developed in collaboration with Erzurum City Hospital and the Ministry of National Education, the initiative aims to support active aging for individuals aged 60 and older. The curriculum includes preventive health measures, mental health and memory training, physical exercises, digital literacy, and various arts and hobby workshops.
