Health authorities conduct dengue prevention operations in Argentina and Mexico

Health and environmental departments in Argentina and Mexico are conducting field operations to prevent the spread of dengue fever by eliminating mosquito breeding sites.

In San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, the Ministry of Public Health deployed teams to the Villa Alem neighborhood. Officials conducted house-to-house visits to inspect properties for standing water and potential Aedes aegypti breeding grounds. The provincial government emphasized that these inspections are part of a year-round prevention strategy involving both field intervention and community awareness.

In Mexico, municipal teams including Environment and Animal Protection and Civil Protection carried out similar activities in the Adolfo López Mateos area. Supported by local administration, personnel worked to identify and remove containers capable of accumulating water. Authorities stressed that preventing dengue requires shared responsibility between municipal cleaning efforts and household maintenance to eliminate stagnant water.
