Health authorities launch vaccination campaigns in Venezuela and Ecuador
Health authorities in Venezuela and Ecuador are conducting targeted vaccination campaigns to prevent infectious diseases.
In the Rómulo Gallegos municipality of Venezuela, a special BCG vaccination operation was held at the Trinidad de Orichuna outpatient clinic. The initiative, led by Insalud Apure and the ASIC Dr. Ricardo Archila, provided doses to newborns and infants to protect them against severe forms of tuberculosis.
In Ecuador, the Ministry of Public Health has launched a national rabies vaccination campaign for pets. In the Los Ríos province, more than 51,000 free doses have been allocated for dogs and cats in the Quevedo, Mocache, Buena Fe, and Valencia districts. The campaign, which runs through November 25, 2026, is part of a larger national effort to eliminate human rabies transmitted by dogs, supported by an investment in 2.6 million vaccines acquired through the Pan American Health Organization.
