Health centers in Argentina and Venezuela launch preventive care initiatives

Health centers in Argentina and Venezuela are launching specialized medical outreach programs to improve access to preventive care.

In Villa Mercedes, Argentina, the CAPS 12 de Octubre health center will host a night session on September 18. Designed to accommodate women who cannot attend during standard hours, the event will offer Pap smears, rapid testing for HIV and syphilis, and vital sign checks. The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Health, also aims to facilitate referrals for mammographies and ultrasounds.

In Caracas, Venezuela, the Sociedad Anticancerosa de Venezuela (SAV) is organizing a Comprehensive Health Day on September 25 and 26 at the Clínica de Prevención del Cáncer. The program aims to serve over 300 patients with consultations priced at $10 in specialties including mastology, gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, and internal medicine. Participants will also receive a 10% discount on various medical examinations and complementary studies.
