Health experts highlight strategic exercise for longevity and wellness
Health experts and coaches are highlighting the importance of strategic physical activity and consistency for long-term wellness. Longevity expert Dan Buettner suggests that even short sessions of running, lasting between 10 and 20 minutes daily, can provide significant physical and mental benefits, including improved cardiovascular health and disease prevention.
According to the Spanish Heart Foundation, regular running helps the heart pump blood more efficiently and assists in managing risks such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
Complementing these findings, fitness coach Julia Villanueva advocates for a balanced approach to training to avoid the exhaustion and inflammation often caused by excessive cardio. Her ‘2-3-8 method’ focuses on a combination of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), strength training, and daily movement to ensure the body receives necessary nutrition and varied physical stimuli rather than relying solely on caloric deficit and high-volume cardiovascular work.
