Health experts in Germany emphasize dementia prevention and mental resilience

Health experts in Germany are highlighting the importance of preventative measures for mental and cognitive well-being. At a health fair in Plettenberg, Elke Koling, Chief Physician at the LWL-Tagesklinik, noted that 45 percent of dementia risk is influenceable through lifestyle factors such as physical activity, nutrition, and social contact.

In Lübeck, a lecture series organized by the Green Party features physician and psychotherapist Antje Demmert, who will discuss resilience during times of crisis. The session aims to address how individuals can maintain mental health and democratic engagement despite political polarization and societal stressors.
