Health experts recommend protein‑rich breakfasts for adults over 30 and highlight coffee’s liver benefits
Nutrition specialists advise people entering their 30s to focus on a protein‑rich breakfast complemented by fiber and healthy fats. High‑quality protein sources such as Skyr, natural yoghurt with nuts and berries, eggs with whole‑grain bread, cottage cheese with vegetables, tofu or plant‑based yoghurts are recommended to preserve muscle mass and sustain satiety. Adding fiber‑dense foods like oats, chia, flaxseed, whole grains, nuts and fresh fruit, together with unsaturated fats from avocado, nuts or seed‑butters, helps regulate blood sugar and supports a steady metabolism throughout the morning.
A large observational study by Cedars‑Sinai Health Sciences University in Los Angeles tracked more than 355,000 adults for over a decade. Participants who drank five or more cups of coffee daily showed a 32% lower risk of liver cirrhosis, a 47% lower risk of liver cancer and a 42% reduction in liver‑related mortality compared with non‑drinkers. Researchers, led by Ju Dong Yang, note that modest benefits appear already at one to two cups and caution that coffee should not replace established liver‑health measures such as weight control, reduced alcohol intake, regular exercise and management of blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar.
