Health infrastructure upgrades implemented in Valparaíso Region

The Municipality of Hijuelas has inaugurated two new Mercedes Benz ambulances to enhance emergency response capabilities. The fleet includes one 4x4 automatic vehicle and one 4x2 manual vehicle, which will serve the Cesfam Dr. Orlando Orrego, the Ocoa Family Health Center, and the Romeral Rural Post. These vehicles were managed by the municipality and funded by the Valparaíso Regional Government.

Separately, the Marga Marga Provincial Hospital has launched a modernized Sterilization Unit featuring advanced technology to ensure clinical and surgical safety. The new facility includes three high-pressure steam autoclaves with a 3,000-liter capacity, low-temperature plasma sterilizers, ultrasonic washers, and specialized equipment for endoscope disinfection. The unit also features a dedicated water treatment plant to maintain continuous operational flow.
