Health initiatives launch in Hunedoara and Argeș counties

Various health initiatives are being launched in Romania to improve medical access. In Hunedoara County, the SALVITAL caravan will visit the communes of Baru, Sarmizegetusa, and Ghelari from October 13 to 16, 2026. Supported by the Hunedoara County Council, the program offers free telemedicine consultations and medical tests, including blood glucose monitoring, electrocardiograms, and bone density scans.

In Argeș County, Mediscan Preventis, in partnership with the Argeș County School Inspectorate and the Public Health Directorate, is introducing a mobile clinic screening program for primary and middle school students. Starting October 19, the initiative will visit schools such as George Topîrceanu in Mioveni and Ion Pillat in Pitești. The non-invasive screenings cover postural alignment, hearing, vision, and respiratory function, providing parents with results via a color-coded reporting system.
