Health initiatives launched in Indonesia through education and blood donation

In Indonesia, various health-focused community initiatives have been launched. RS Dr. M. Djamil held an educational session titled “Mengenal & Mengatasi Nyeri Punggung Bawah” (Understanding and Overcoming Low Back Pain) to mark Pain Awareness Month. Led by neurologist dr. Restu Susanti, the program aimed to inform the public that low back pain is a symptom of various underlying conditions involving muscles, ligaments, joints, or nerves, rather than a single disease.

Separately, the Bandung branch of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Pathologists and Laboratory Medicine (PDS PatKLIn) organized a social service event at Masjid Agung Syekh Quro in Karawang. The event included blood donations, free health screenings—covering blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and hemoglobin levels—and medical consultations. The initiative was a collaborative effort involving the Karawang Regional Hospital Blood Management Unit, the mosque's management, and Primaya Hospital Karawang.
