Community health and social initiatives in Indonesia

Overview

Community organizations and medical institutions in Indonesia have conducted various social, sporting, and health-focused initiatives.

Early September activities included charity runs and blood drives. Deloitte Indonesia held the Deloitte Runify 2026 to raise funds for underprivileged students while promoting environmental sustainability. MNC Group organized the ‘MNC Love Donation’ involving blood donations and fundraising for earthquake victims in East Nusa Tenggara. Other efforts included blood donation drives by Radio Republik Indonesia and a collaboration between Indodana Finance and the Komunitas Sahabat Donor Darah.

By mid-September, focus shifted toward health education and clinical services. RS Dr. M. Djamil hosted a session on understanding and overcoming low back pain. Additionally, the Bandung branch of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Pathologists and Laboratory Medicine organized a social service event in Karawang, providing blood donations, medical consultations, and free health screenings for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and hemoglobin levels.
