Health Minister Klekovski visits Slovenia to discuss medical reforms

North Macedonian Minister of Health Sašo Klekovski conducted his first official working visit to Slovenia to discuss healthcare reforms and bilateral cooperation. During meetings with Slovenian Health Minister Tadej Ostrc, the officials focused on implementing successful European models within the Macedonian healthcare system.

Key areas of discussion included cancer early detection programs, radiodiagnostics management, and nursing cooperation. A significant portion of the visit involved studying the Slovenian National Dispatch Center in Ljubljana. Klekovski examined the Slovenian model for emergency medical assistance, which utilizes a triage index based on a Norwegian model to classify urgent cases into specific groups.

The visit also covered the organizational structure of emergency teams, standardization of medical vehicles, and the specialized training programs for dispatchers. Both ministers agreed to continue discussions regarding ongoing reform plans and the improvement of healthcare services for Macedonian students residing in Slovenia.
