Health units in Paranavaí and Cuiabá undergo renovations
In Paranavaí, three Basic Health Units (UBS)—Panorama, Coloninha, and Monte Cristo—are undergoing extensive structural renovations and maintenance. The project is being funded entirely through a private donation, meaning no municipal, state, or federal public funds are being used. The private entity is providing all specialized labor, construction materials, and equipment. Planned works include roof reinforcement, masonry recovery, waterproofing, and electrical and plumbing updates.
In Cuiabá, the revitalization of the USF Doutor Fábio health unit is entering its final phase. Expected to resume operations in the second half of October, the facility serves approximately 16,000 people in the capital's eastern region. The upgrades include new physical structures, furniture, and equipment to improve service for the Unified Health System (SUS). Other units, such as USF Santa Maria and USF Jardim Araçá, are also undergoing improvements as part of a broader municipal effort to strengthen primary healthcare.
