Healthcare advancements and innovation awards in Brazil

Hospital Moinhos de Vento has been awarded first place in the Culture category of the ‘Campeãs da Inovação 2026’ awards. Organized by Grupo Amanhã and the IXL-Center of Cambridge, USA, the award recognizes innovation management maturity in Southern Brazil.

In Aracaju, the Drª. Glória Tereza Lima Batista Lopes Pediatric Unit, part of the Hospital Municipal Fernando Franco, has marked its first year of operation. The unit has completed over 33,000 consultations, featuring 15 ward beds, seven observation beds, and three stabilization beds. The facility has implemented specific protocols for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to ensure prioritized and specialized care.
