Healthcare training initiatives launched in Germany

Various healthcare training initiatives are underway in Germany to support the care sector. In the Viersen and Mönchengladbach regions, the LVR Education Center for Health & Care has launched a new training course for 22 aspiring nursing specialists. The three-year program combines theoretical instruction with practical experience in both psychiatric and somatic outpatient and inpatient settings.

In Wasserburg, the Caritas Center is offering a training course for volunteers who wish to support individuals with care needs. Rather than performing medical nursing tasks, these volunteers focus on providing companionship and assistance in daily life, such as accompanying people to doctor appointments or providing respite for family caregivers. The training follows guidelines from the Bavarian State Office for Care, allowing volunteers to receive expense reimbursements for their services.
