Healthcare training programs announced in Italy

Two distinct healthcare training initiatives have been announced in Italy. In Chiavari, Asl 4 and the Fondazione Gigi Ghirotti Genova ETS will launch a palliative care volunteer course on November 2, 2026. The program aims to prepare volunteers to support patients in hospices and at home, focusing on psychological and spiritual needs through five meetings and two experiential workshops.

In Pistoia, the Fondazione Turati di Gavinana will host a training course on November 27, 2026, regarding physical restraint in healthcare settings. Organized in collaboration with the Interprovincial Order of Nursing Professions of Florence and Pistoia, the multidisciplinary course covers legal, ethical, and operational aspects of restraint. The session is open to all healthcare and social-healthcare personnel, offering professional credits for registered nurses.
