Healthcare workers in Turkey overcome long-term smoking addiction

Two healthcare professionals in Turkey, Anesthesia Technician Anıl Kabadayı and Çanakkale Provincial Ambulance Service Chief Physician Dr. Sertaç Giresunlu, have successfully overcome long-term smoking addictions through clinical treatment.

Kabadayı, who had been smoking for 11 years, utilized the Smoking Cessation Clinic at Hatay Training and Research Hospital. He reported significant health improvements, including the resolution of shortness of breath and the restoration of taste and smell. Dr. Serkan Nural, a pulmonary specialist at the same hospital, noted that the clinic has served 650 individuals over a nine-month period, achieving success rates of up to 50 percent.
