HealthTech hackathons launch to drive healthcare innovation

Various organizations are launching technology-driven hackathons aimed at addressing critical challenges within healthcare systems.

In Chile, EY Chile and Fundación País Digital will host the HealthTech Summit País Digital by EY. This event focuses on using artificial intelligence, generative AI, predictive models, and computer vision to improve clinical management and patient care. Participants will tackle specific issues including oncology, waiting lists, and clinical management. To promote gender diversity in technology, each participating team is required to include at least one female member.

In Spain, Pfizer, the Pfizer Foundation, and Wayra have launched a new edition of the Innomakers4Health program. This initiative seeks to reduce administrative burdens in outpatient consultations to free up clinical time for healthcare professionals. The program involves collaboration with the Hospital Universitario de La Princesa in Madrid, providing participants with mentors and experts to ensure technological solutions are viable and scalable within complex clinical environments.
