Heart band’s 50‑year history and 18 lineup changes outlined

The classic‑rock group Heart, fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, has undergone 18 distinct lineups over more than five decades. Originating in Seattle in the early 1970s, the band’s early members included bassist Steve Fossen and guitarist Roger Fisher. The Wilson sisters, inspired by the Beatles, have remained the core of the group while the roster of guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboardists has shifted repeatedly, notably during the band’s 1980s resurgence.
