Heart band lineup history and new album

The classic‑rock group Heart, founded in Seattle in the early 1970s and led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, has seen 18 distinct lineups over more than five decades. A July 2026 overview highlighted the band’s evolving roster of guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboardists, its 16 studio albums, sales of over 50 million records and its Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.

A month later, the focus shifted to fresh creative activity. By early August 2026 the band had completed recording a new studio album in Nashville – the first full‑length release since 2016 – and expected to deliver it to a partner by the end of the month. In addition, plans for a biopic and documentary about Heart were announced, while Ann Wilson prepared to issue her solo album *Consecrated Ground* on August 14 and embark on a world tour later in the year, including shows in Japan.
