Heat wave drives temperatures above 30°C in the Netherlands and Turkey

The Dutch meteorological service forecasts a rapid rise in temperatures across the country, with many areas reaching 30 °C to 33 °C on Friday and Saturday. Humidity will be high and the heat is expected to be accompanied by localized thunderstorms, especially on Friday.

In Turkey, the General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a steep temperature increase starting June 15, peaking on June 17. Temperatures are expected to exceed 35 °C in western provinces and approach 40 °C in the southeast, with strong sunshine and occasional thunderstorm activity. Authorities warn residents to take precautions against the extreme heat.
