In France, Météo‑France issued an orange vigilance for severe thunderstorms across ten departments – Doubs, Jura, Saône‑et‑Loire, Ain, Rhône, Allier, Puy‑de‑Dôme, Loire, Haute‑Loire and Ardèche – warning of wind gusts up to 100 km/h, heavy rain and hail.

Algeria’s Office National de la Météorologie also announced an orange alert for a heat wave, with maximum temperatures of 44 °C‑45 °C in Mascara, Relizane, Chlef and Aïn Defla, and 40 °C‑43 °C along the eastern coast (Béjaïa, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf) through early August.

Egypt’s General Authority of Meteorology warned that the heat wave will keep maximum temperatures near 37 °C (felt 39 °C) in Cairo and 38 °C (felt 40 °C) in the New Capital, accompanied by high humidity and occasional wind bursts.
