Heavy rain and strong winds forecast for Haryana and Delhi-NCR

The India Meteorological Department issued a short‑term alert for Haryana, warning of heavy to very heavy rain and strong gusts of 20‑30 km/h over the next three hours across districts such as Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad and Hisar. Authorities cautioned that falling trees, downed power lines and localized flooding could occur, and advised residents and farmers to stay indoors and secure equipment.

In Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region, the forecast for Wednesday calls for intermittent light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 30 km/h. Temperatures are expected to dip to the low‑30s °C during the day, providing relief from the heat. Officials recommended limiting travel, avoiding open fields during storms, and following any further safety guidance from local authorities.
