Heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast across Nepal's Koshi and other provinces

Meteorological authorities in Nepal warned of a low‑pressure trough influencing the country's weather on June 14‑15. The forecast calls for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, with partly cloudy to clear conditions elsewhere.

The Himalayan and higher hill regions may see light snowfall, while isolated thunderstorms with lightning are also expected in Madhesh Province. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology urged the public to stay alert to possible impacts from heavy rainfall, lightning and sudden snow in the mountains.
