Heavy Rain Floods Quoc Huong Street in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of 15 June 2026, a heavy rainstorm in Ho Chi Minh City caused rapid water rise on Quoc Huong Street in An Khanh Ward. Within about 30 minutes, the road was submerged to a depth that reached above motorcycle wheels, forcing riders to push their vehicles or seek refuge on sidewalks. The flooding persisted for over an hour, with some sections remaining under deep water at 18:30, creating hazardous conditions for both motorbikes and cars. Fast‑moving cars generated waves that soaked motorcyclists, leading to loss of control and several accidents. Residents reported difficulty navigating the area and some foreign visitors also struggled to move through the flood‑affected streets.
