Heavy Rain Triggers Flood Watch Across Alabama

Heavy rain continued to blanket north and central Alabama, swelling runoff and raising water levels at sites such as Noccalula Falls in Gadsden. The National Weather Service issued flood watches for much of the region, warning that excessive runoff could flood rivers, creeks, and low‑lying urban areas.

A specific Flood Watch was also put in effect for Tuscaloosa County, with meteorologists noting that while the rain was not as widespread as the previous day, isolated tropical downpours could still cause flash flooding. Residents are advised to monitor forecasts and be prepared for possible flooding in poorly drained areas.
