HEDNO announces planned power outages in Crete and Attica

HEDNO has scheduled planned power outages for Thursday, August 20, across several regions in Greece, including Crete and Attica, due to maintenance and construction work on the electrical grid.

In Crete, outages will affect various areas in Heraklion, Chersonissos, Faistos, Sfakia, and Sitia. Specific locations include parts of the Heraklion municipality near 62 Martyron Avenue, Magarikari in Faistos, and several villages in Sitia such as Zou and Etia.

In Attica, disruptions are planned for the Municipality of Athens, Southern Suburbs (Moschato, Tavros, Glyfada), and Western Attica (Ano Liosia, Peristeri). HEDNO advises citizens to exercise caution, avoid using elevators during these times, and disconnect electrical appliances to prevent damage when power is restored.
