Heidelberg and Wiesbaden schedule water pipe repair and road closures

Heidelberg will carry out repairs on a water pipe located on Pleikartsförster Straße. The work is announced by the Metropolregion Rhein‑Neckar news portal.

In Wiesbaden, the city has closed Scheffelstraße (house numbers 6‑10) and Kleiststraße (from number 18 to Scheffelstraße) from 8 June to 18 August 2026. The closures are needed for the renewal of a canal and the relocation of district‑heating pipelines and affect vehicular traffic, cyclists and pedestrians, with alternative routes provided by the municipal transport authority.

Both projects are presented as investments to prevent larger future damage and to maintain essential utility services.
