Heilbronn's Freibad Gesundbrunnen to host annual dog swimming event

The Freibad Gesundbrunnen in Heilbronn is hosting its ninth annual dog swimming event on Sunday, September 13, 2026. From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the pools will be open exclusively for dogs to swim and play.

To facilitate the event, the water will not be chlorinated. While dogs are permitted in the water, owners are prohibited from entering the pools for hygiene reasons. The event will be supported by Tierrettung Unterland and will include photographic coverage of the participants.

Admission is set at 5 euros per dog and 2 euros per accompanying person. Tickets can be purchased via the SWHN online shop or at the facility's entrance. This event marks the conclusion of the season for the pool, with the final regular swimming day scheduled for Saturday, September 12.
