Hela: of Mice & Magic set for release on December 1, 2026

Windup Games and Knights Peak have announced the release date for the open-world adventure game ‘Hela: of Mice & Magic’, set for December 1, 2026. The game features a small mouse protagonist navigating a Nordic-inspired natural world to assist a gentle witch.

Players can utilize a ‘magic frog backpack’ for movement, including grappling and gliding, while solving physics-based puzzles and brewing magical potions. The title supports solo play, local two-player split-screen, and up to four-player online multiplayer.

In Japan, Shochiku Games will handle publishing under the title ‘Hela: Chiisana Nezumi to Mahou no Mori’. The game is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It previously received ‘Most Entertaining’ and ‘Most Wholesome’ awards at gamescom 2025.
