A tourist helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has resulted in the deaths of four people, including Colombian influencer Sofía Murillo, 17. Also killed were her mother, Wendy Manrique, 37, her grandmother, Rocío Cubillos, 59, and the pilot, Alessandro Rocha.

The accident occurred on the morning of Saturday, August 8, in the Vista Chinesa area of Alto da Boa Vista, within the Floresta da Tijuca forest. The Robinson R44 aircraft crashed into dense vegetation, which complicated emergency and recovery efforts due to the difficult terrain. The impact triggered a fire that affected both the wreckage and the surrounding forest.

Images circulating on social media show the aircraft amidst the vegetation and fire. While these images have caused significant public reaction, authorities note they do not establish the cause of the crash. An aeronautical investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
