Hellenic Development Bank to receive 1.5 billion euros for SME support
At the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a significant boost for the Hellenic Development Bank (EAT). The government will transfer 1.5 billion euros from the Recovery Fund to EAT to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through bank lending with favorable terms. Through the leverage of private capital, the total financing aim is set at 5 billion euros.
Additionally, the Prime Minister announced the 'Spiti mou III' housing program, which carries a value of 2 billion euros. Implementation for this program is slated to begin in early January 2027. The initiative aims to address housing costs and increase the availability of homes.
