Hellenic Federation of Enterprises proposes 10-year industrial strategy to Greece

The Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SVE) has proposed the creation of a national industrial pact and a ten-year industrial strategy to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The proposal was presented during a meeting between the Prime Minister, government members, and representatives of productive sectors ahead of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair.

Presented by SVE General Director Vicky Loizou, the strategy emphasizes placing industry at the core of the country's development plan. The proposal highlights the importance of industrial activity in supporting regional employment, retaining human capital, and strengthening local community cohesion.

The SVE's recommendations are structured around seven critical pillars: 1. Funding and investment incentives 2. Energy and green transition 3. Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation 4. Human resources and skills 5. Infrastructure, connectivity, and regional development 6. Regulatory environment and effective governance 7. National Industrial Strategy and a new productive agreement.

The Federation argues that the country's productive model requires a unified plan with specific priorities and a commitment to implementation, rather than a collection of fragmented interventions.
