Hellenic Police inaugurate Information Center at Thessaloniki Fair

The Hellenic Police inaugurated its Information Center at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair on September 5, 2026. The event was led by Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis, with the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Police Chief Lieutenant General Dimitrios Mallios.

Minister Chrysochoidis emphasized the modernization of the police force, focusing on efficiency, social integration, and national security. He highlighted key priorities, including the establishment of the Social Policing Directorate to protect victims of domestic and juvenile violence, addressing fan violence, and improving traffic policing.

Additionally, the Minister noted the achievements of the Organized Crime Directorate, which has dismantled more than 2,000 criminal groups in less than two years, aided by stricter legislative penalties.
