Hello Games founder Sean Murray discusses future of No Man's Sky

Hello Games founder Sean Murray has addressed the long-term future of No Man's Sky, acknowledging that the game will eventually reach an end date for new content. While a specific date has not been set, Murray noted that he previously thought the game would have reached this stage years ago.

As the title approaches its tenth anniversary, the game is being recognized for its significant recovery following a controversial launch in 2016. Since its release, Hello Games has provided over 40 free updates, expanding the sandbox universe with features such as base building, mechs, settlements, and support for PSVR2.

Murray expressed an interest in following the model of older titles like Quake, which continue to receive new content decades after release. He emphasized a commitment to providing updates that bring joy to the community rather than strictly following a predetermined roadmap.
